Career Enhancement Panel Discussion
This panel discussion is an afternoon event focusing on career enhancement and career opportunities in Copenhagen for researchers and scientists with specific interest in/competences related to China.
The event will start with a brief introduction to the association’s purposes and activities by panel moderator Wusheng Yu (Associate Professor and Chair of UCPH-CSA). This will be followed with presentations by four prominent speakers who will share their perspectives on different career paths:
- Xiao Binbing, Country Manager, Huawei.
- Lise Tøttrup Brennum, Senior Talent Attraction Professional, Novo Nordisk.
- Mingshi Yang, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Engineering, UCPH.
- Wen Xiang, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, UCPH.
The panel discussion will focus on the following topics:
- Company perspectives: Focus on employment or on research/education collaboration; opportunities and challenges of different career paths; opportunities for individual researchers/scientists etc.
- Scientist/researcher’s perspectives: What can University of Copenhagen offer in terms of an international career; opportunities and challenges of a career at university vs in industry; opportunities and challenges of applied vs basic research etc
Format: 10 minutes for short presentations of individual perspectives and focus areas followed by Q&A session. The event will end with a reception (snacks and drinks). The reception will be an occasion for the association members to mingle and get to know each other in the Chinese New Year.
The event is open to the public and the last day to register is on the 28 February.
