Centre for Global South Asian Studies organizes two public lectures with Professor Thomas Blom Hansen, Stanford University, and Professor Edward Simpson, School of Oriental and African Studies, London:

• You tube or Participant Observation? Recent fieldwork experiences on global infrastructure in Reunion Island by Professor Edward Simpson, School of Oriental and African Studies, London.

Thomas Blom Hansen is Professor of Anthropology and director of South Asia Center at Stanford University, USA. He is also Honorary Professor of Modern South Asian Studies, at the department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, University of Copenhagen.

Edward Simpson is Professor of Anthropology, School of Oriental and African Studies, London. He currently directs a five-year ERC programme on ‘Roads and the politics of thought: Ethnograpohic Approaches to Infrastructure Development in South Asia’.
