Opening hours and facilities for guests

Administration

You find the faculty administration (Faculty Service) by the main entrance at Karen Blixens Vej 4. 

Library

The Faculty Library of Humanities

Opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-22:00, Sat 10:00-17:00.

You can use the library as reading room and there is free wireless internet. The departments have their own libraries with limited lending facilities. Get the list of departmental libraries.

Bookstore

You find Academic Books in the building "KUA2" (through the "red entrance" to the right).

Opening hours: Mon-Thurs 10:00-17:30 and Fri 10:00-15:00.

Using the campus area

It is forbidden to use the campus area for political or religious agitation. This means, for example, that you are not allowed to hand out political pamphlets during a general election. The faculty can decline requests for using the area if the applicant intends to use the area for political or religious agitation.

If you want access to the campus area, e.g. when shooting a film, please contact contact Head of Operations Stig Andersen (sfa@hum.ku.dk).

Places to eat

The cafeteria in the new buildings at the Faculty of Humanities
Building 23
Opening hours: Every weekday from 7:45-17:30.

'Danskkantinen'
You find 'Danskkantinen' at staircase 8 in the old buildings of the Faculty of Humanities.
Opening hours: Every weekday from 7:45-17:30.

'Café Mødestedet'

You find 'Cafe Mødestedet' in KUA2 area 11A (left from main entrance)

Opening hours: Mon-Fri 10:00-19:00.

At 'Café Mødestedet' you can buy coffee, chocolate, beer, sandwiches, candy and more.

Lost property

You can return and find lost property at the Student Self Service in room 9.1.02 (in the old buildings) and 22.0.23 (in the new buildings).  

Rental of rooms

You can book the faculty's rooms for meetings or similar - even though you have no connection to the University.

Posters and messages

At the Faculty of Humanities you can find a lot of message boards where you can post various messages. Every three months - or when the message boards are overloaded - the messages will be removed no matter how long they have been on the board.

Wireless internet

The wireless internet is not encrypted and available to everyone in the campus area. Get more information about the wireless internet - website in Danish only.
